Yes, But Does She Knit?

Ok. I know what you must be thinking. Does this lady ever knit? We don't see much of her work. Maybe she just talks so much about knitting, she doesn't actually knit. Yeah, maybe she is just a knitting poser.

To answer these charges I give you a brief look into one of my knitting bags to see what I have going on. Yes, I have more than one knitting bag. What respectable knitter doesn't?!

I have used all sorts of things as knitting bags. Those plastic bags you get from the grocery are okay until your needles punch a hole in them. They also rip easily and will send your project catapulting in the air or cascading to the ground over some oily spot on the pavement. Not good. I used a canvas shopping bag for awhile, but it wouldn't stand up very well on its own. No gravitas.

I got Pink-o free with purchase of perfume. I wasn't sure I would like Pink-o, my current knitting bag, but she has grown on me. Likes to party. Can carry a bottle of water. Likes to drink coffee. Stands up-right even when wasted. What more could you ask for from a bag?

Yes, Pink-o has to have jewelry. Pink-o likes to look good when she is hanging out with all the other knitting bags. Who knows when a good looking workout bag may happen by ready to go to Jamaica and needing some bag company.

My tool kit. I asked Pink-o if she wanted a matching or contrasting tool kit. Pink-O is a girly girl and wanted something that matched.

The ever present sock bag.

Oh, the unholy things that go on inside.

Nothing worse than having to clean up sock barf. At least it was Patron and not cheap swill.

Just to prove I knit more than socks, a gander at the Elfin Lace Shawl that I am knitting as part of my Tuesday evening Knit Night Knit Along.

So the answer is, yes, I do knit. Here is proof. Then if you are one of those people who don't believe we actually landed on the moon, this, too could have been staged.

Sock barf. Is that a known cousin to 'yarn hurl' -- the thing that happens when you are trying to find the beginning of an inside pull skein?
